"I Exist in History"

The Teenagers of Today Meet Themselves in the Faces of Yesterday

An experiential, interactive "exploratory" performance for Middle and High School students.

How can historical figures from Thessaloniki relate to the quests of today's teenagers? What common ground might a teenager today have with Saint Demetrius? What can Emperor Constantine teach teenagers about conflict with their parents? What does the myth of Thessaloniki teach us about gender relations?

Through an interactive and participatory theatrical performance, teenagers unexpectedly discover common points with figures such as Saint Demetrius, Emperor Constantine, Thessaloniki, Iona Dragoumi, and others. Subsequently, based on their stories, they participate in experiential games on goal-setting, conflict management at home and school, gender issues, and bullying.

The performance takes place in the following venues:

  • Vafopouleio Cultural Center

  • Toumba Cultural Center

  • Multi-functional Theater M. Theodorakis, Municipality of Kordelio - Evosmos

The performance can also be held at each school's location.
